-take the trolley from the trolley platform. (outside the entrance) press the trolley handle downwards to move the trolley.

2) check the departure screen (in front of the customer service area)

-boarding gate and status are provided. *cancellation of flight will be stated.

3)go to respective baggage counter (at row M in this case) , redeem jetstar flight ticket and check-in baggage.
A) redeem jetstar flight ticket
-show the passport and online boarding pass to the officer. Identity card and itinerary don't really matters.
-after the flight verification with travel documentation,  jetstar flight ticket was given and boarding gate was stated on the ticket. boarding pass doesn't act as flight ticket for jetstar.

note: for local domestic flight (air asia and fireflyz airline) , boarding pass act as flight ticket. boarding gate for domestic flight can be checked on the departure screen or baggage counter.

B) check-in baggage.
-jetstar check-in luggage doesn't require security scanning. there's a security scanning machine in front of the jetstar check-in counter, just ignore it.

note: for domestic flight at fireflyz subang airport and air asia LCCT, the check-in luggage requires security scanning at the security scanning machine. it must be done before we check-in the luggage at baggage counter.

-place our check-in luggage at the automated weighing conveyor. the jetstar officer at KLIA will remove the check-in labels on our check-in luggage (if there's any from our previous flight) and stick the jetstar check-in labels.

note: the jetstar officer at Singapore Changi airport asked me to remove the check-in labels myself.

- the check-in luggage will be conveyed and send into the plane storage.
- place our cabin baggage on the conveyor for weighing (just in case it overweights)
- cabin tag will be given by the jetstar officers and stick the cabin tag on the cabin bag.

4) head to the respective boarding gate. ( boarding gate is stated on the jetstar flight ticket)
- there's 2 security gates at KLIA and 1 immigration gate.
A)first security gate,
-located before the immigration gate.
-place the baggage trolley at the trolley platform in front of the first security gate. no trolley is allowed. -show passport and flight ticket to the airport police, scan items (no need to remove anything), proceed to immigration gate

first security gate

B) immigration gate
note: no photography is allowed.
- there's 2 types
i) manual counter (operated by an officer)
- head to the Malaysian passport counter. stand behind the line while queuing.
-provide passport, flight ticket for verification.
ii) autogate counter (operated by machine)
-place the passport on the passport scanner, insert the identity card/IC , place our thumb on the thumb scanner.

enter and head to aerotrain terminal if the boarding gate is at C1-C37. aerotrain is something like LRT to transfer the passenger to other boarding gate.
note: there's no aerotrain at subang airport, penang airport and LCCT.

there's lots of stalls along the way to boarding gate C23.

C) second security gate
- located at the boarding gate. (after the shopping area)
-opens at 7:45am (1 hours before the flight) until flight time. always double confirm it with the airport police

- place the baggage trolley beside the second security gate. it's necessary to remove belongings for security scanning at this security gate. separate the electronics (laptops, handphones, camera and etc), and place it in the plastic container at the security gate.

airport rules,  remove all electronics and metal accessories from our body and bags and place it at the plastic container. the plastic container and our bags will go through a security scanning machine (something like X-ray) and we will enter the second security scanner.

my experience, only remove my camera and my smartphone. it's not necessary to remove every single charger, wires, power bank, old handphone, belt and my necklace (unless it's requested). the airport police is not that strict. they won't stop us if they can determine what's in our bag on the scanner.

note:
-no water (empty the drinking bottles by pouring at the rubbish bin beside the security gate)
-remove hat
-no need to remove anything if it's not requested.

note: there's only one security gate at subang airport, penang airport and LCCT.

5) dis-valid the flight ticket
- at the ticket gate (after security gate)
- enter and wait at the boarding gate. (no toilet, exit the boarding gate if necessary)

6)enter the boarding gate according to row
- it will be announced by the jetstar officer.
note: no need enter boarding gate according to row at Changi airport.

note: different airport has different system. different airway has different system. even for the same airport with the same airway, the procedure will differ slightly with different officer. always double confirm with the officer and be early.

best time to reach airport (with check-in baggage) , 2 hours before departure. for both domestic and international flight (for any airway)
